Day 2 of some of the collections shown at New York Fashion Week on Friday 6th.
Hairstyle - This has been one of my favourite hairstyles so far. I think the the braided up do the chose to do really suited the style of the clothing as this collection had quite a layed back and casual feel to it compared to others.
The patterns from this collection by Noor by Noor were lovely, with the majority being based around florals. Many pieces featured high neck lines and a slightly boxier shape. The collection also contained some tailored pieces such as shirts and sleek trousers as well as the floatier and more relaxed look of the dresses and skirts. My favourite look from this collection was a two piece skirt and top with large orange flower print on them (above, second from the right.
Hairstyle - A side part was created with the hair then kept quite sleek with one side being pushed to the back. The roots were kept sleek with a bit of wave added from the mid lengths to the ends of the hair.
Hairstyle - Similar to the up do seen at Rebecca Minkoff, the Miller models were sporting plaited up dos. The messiness of the up do match to the style of the piece the model was wearing with some being slightly messier and more textured than others. This collection did have a quite a few high necklines so I feel that this hairstyle did suit the overall collection really nicely and was a good choice to fully show off the designs.
I loved Misha Nonoo's collection. This was another designer I had previously unheard of before fashion week but I'm very glad I found this collection. The pieces were a lot smarter compared to some others that were shown today and I loved the overall feel of it. Some pieces were more structured than others with there being a few pieces of tailoring such as jackets and shirts. The colours used well nearly all easy on the eye with only the occasional piece being a brighter colour, all the others were mainly pastels.
Hairstlye - A simple middle parting with texture to the hair created a simple look that I feel suited the show and pieces nicely.
Overall my favourite show of the day was definitely Misha Nonoo. I loved the colour palette that was used and there were so many pieces that I feel could be wore straight off the cat walk. There were a few other shows today that heavily consisted of white, much like yesterday so this may be a possible colour again for next year. There are also some more pastel shades showing again with softer colours compared showing across a range of collection.
